Zelensky on meeting with Putin: Result should be end to war
This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during a press conference in Paris, according to a Ukrinform correspondent.
"A meeting with Putin is necessary. This is not a matter of desire, but of necessity. We support this meeting in any format: trilateral or bilateral," Zelensky emphasized.
At the same time, he said that Russia is doing everything it can to postpone the meeting.
"Our American partners have informed us that Putin has invited me to Moscow. It seems that they want the meeting not to take place, which is why they are inviting me. Russia has started talking about the meeting, which is not bad, but so far we do not see their desire to end the war," the head of state stressed.
According to him, leaders at a meeting of this level must come up with a specific result, “preferably with an end to the war.”
As reported by Ukrinform, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that the Russians will do everything possible to prevent the meeting between the leaders of Ukraine, the US, and Russia from taking place.
