Special restrictive procedures and measures will be applied to Russian citizens who seek to visit Ukraine after the end of the Russian-Ukrainian war.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha made the statement during a press conference in Vinnytsia, Ukrinform reports.

“For us, Russia is a hostile country, an aggressor state. It is currently impossible for a Russian citizen to enter Ukraine without special authorization, a visa, and verification or screening by all relevant Ukrainian services. Special restrictive procedures and measures regarding visits to Ukraine will continue to apply to citizens of that state [after the war],” Sybiha said.

He added that he does not see a threat of a mass influx of migrants from Russia once the war is over.

As reported, according to the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), Ukraine’s population has decreased by 10 million people, or roughly a quarter, since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion. The main reasons are the outflow of refugees, a declining birth rate, and increased mortality caused directly and indirectly by the war.
