Russian drone strikes gas station in Kherson region, killing one and injuring five
This was reported by the Kherson Regional Military Administration, according to Ukrinform.
“Around 1:00 p.m., a Russian drone attacked a gas station in the Chornobaivka community,” the statement said.
The prosecutor’s office reported one fatality and five injuries.
“According to the investigation, on June 5, 2026, at approximately 1:10 p.m., Russian military forces carried out an attack using an unmanned aerial vehicle on a gas station in one of the settlements of the Kherson region,” the statement said.
As noted, the strike on the station caused a fire.
Currently, it is known that one woman was killed and five civilians were injured.
Under the procedural guidance of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into the commission of a war crime resulting in a fatality.
The Regional Military Administration also reported that a 53-year-old resident of Mykilskyi was taken to the hospital after sustaining mine-blast and closed head injuries, as well as traumatic amputation of fingers on his hand, due to Russian shelling. The victim was hospitalized in moderate condition.
According to the Regional Military Administration, two other victims who had previously been caught in shelling also sought medical attention at the hospital. Specifically, a 66-year-old resident of Bilozerka sustained a blast injury and a concussion as a result of the shelling of the village on June 4 and was hospitalized.
A 68-year-old resident of Komyshany, who was caught in Russian shelling on May 31, was diagnosed with blast injuries, a closed head injury, a concussion, and a contusion.
In addition, it was reported that another resident of Kherson died as a result of a Russian attack on the Dniprovskyi district on the night of June 2. A 76-year-old woman sustained fatal injuries.
As reported by Ukrinform, Russian troops attacked vehicles belonging to the Ukrainian Red Cross Society using a drone; an employee of the organization was injured.
