
U.S. to meet with Russian delegation in Saudi Arabia this week – CNN
That's according to CNN, citing a source familiar with the plans, Ukrinform reports.
The media outlet reported that these meetings would mark "another critical week of high-stakes talks as President Donald Trump and his team seek to strike a deal between the two countries."
The source declined to say who would be present for the talks.
Trump previewed the upcoming talks, telling reporters aboard Air Force One on Sunday, "Big meetings coming up, as you know, in Saudi Arabia. That's going to include Russia, but Ukraine, we'll see if we can get something done."
Trump expressed hope that "some very big things could happen this week."
On Thursday, March 7, President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that the teams from Ukraine and the U.S. would meet in Saudi Arabia next week. He mentioned that the visit to Saudi Arabia would begin on Monday, March 10, with a planned meeting between the Ukrainian president and the Crown Prince. Following that, the Ukrainian delegation will remain in Saudi Arabia to work with American partners.
Zelensky expressed confidence that the meeting between the Ukrainian and American delegations in Saudi Arabia would yield positive results.
