White House denies plans to revoke temporary legal status for Ukrainians

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has denied reports that the U.S. government is planning to revoke the temporary legal status for Ukrainian refugees.

She addressed the claim in a post on social media platform X, as reported by Ukrinform.

Leavitt shared a screenshot of the news, which was originally published by Reuters, and wrote: "This is more fake news from Reuters based on anonymous sources who have no idea what they are talking about. The truth: no decision has been made at this time."

Earlier, Reuters, citing a senior official from the Trump administration, reported that the U.S. government was planning to revoke the temporary legal status for 240,000 Ukrainians who fled their country following Russia’s full-scale invasion.
