Two Russian diplomats declared personae non grata in Romania
This was reported by Romania Journal with reference to a press release from the Romanian Foreign Ministry, Ukrinform learned.
The ministry noted that the decision to declare Makovsky and Ignatiev personae non grata was made over their activities that had been in breach the provisions of the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.
On Wednesday, Romanian Foreign Minister Emil Hurezianu summoned the charge d'affaires of the Russian Embassy in Bucharest to the Foreign Ministry headquarters to inform him of the government’s decision regarding the two Russian diplomats.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, on May 24, 2024, the Romanian Foreign Ministry declared another Russian diplomat at the Russian Embassy in Bucharest as persona non grata.
