The European leaders' meeting in London will focus on outlining more specific security guarantees that Europe could provide to Ukraine.

EU Ambassador to Ukraine Katarína Mathernová stated this in an interview with Ukrinform.

"When you are asking about the defense of Ukraine, tomorrow is an important key meeting in London, called by Prime Minister Starmer, who was in the White House earlier this week. The meeting is dedicated to developing more concrete contours of how Europe would be in a position to provide security guarantees to Ukraine," she said.

Mathernová added that support for Ukraine, increased security spending in Europe, and the continent’s overall situation will be key topics at the extraordinary European Council on March 6.

The EU ambassador also assured that everyone in Europe recognizes who the aggressor is and who the victim is, emphasizing that real security guarantees are essential for lasting peace.

"And I believe these meetings, both in London and in Brussels, will be key steps in getting there," the Ambassador expressed hope.
