Ireland to provide Giraffe radars to Ukraine – Martin in meeting with Zelensky

During a meeting with President Volodymyr Zelensky, Irish Prime Minister Michael Martin said that Ireland would provide Ukraine with Giraffe radars.

This is reported on the website of the President of Ukraine following the talks, Ukrinform reports.

“Special attention was given to air defense, Ireland’s participation in the Demining Coalition, and the EU training mission for Ukrainian troops. Micheál Martin announced that Ireland will provide Ukraine with Giraffe radars,” the statement said.

It is noted that the meeting focused on the construction of shelters in Ukrainian schools and support for school nutrition reform. The parties also discussed the Ukrainian initiative to ensure food security in Syria.

The Head of State thanked Ireland for the assistance and support provided to Ukraine.

The report notes that the key topic of the meeting was steps to end the war with guaranteed peace for Ukraine and the whole of Europe.

“Ukraine appreciates that Ireland shares its vision for the future security architecture. Volodymyr Zelensky and Micheál Martin discussed security guarantees and the importance of unity between Ukraine, Europe, and the United States on the path to a just peace,” the President's press service said following the talks.

As reported by Ukrinform, Volodymyr Zelensky met with Mick Hall Martin at Shannon Airport, where the Ukrainian President made a short stop on his way to the United States.

Donald Trump has officially confirmed that he plans to meet with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky this Friday, February 28, to sign an agreement with the Ukrainian side.
