Ukraine, Palau establish diplomatic relations

"On the sidelines of the Global Peace Summit in Switzerland, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky met with President of the Republic of Palau Surangel Whipps, Jr. In the presence of the leaders, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba and Surangel Whipps, Jr. of the Republic of Palau Eunice Akiwo signed a Joint Communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries," the statement said.

At the meeting, President Zelensky emphasized the importance of uniting countries around the world around the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children.

As reported, the first high-level meeting between President Volodymyr Zelensky and President of Palau Surangel Whipps, Jr. took place at the International Peace Summit in Switzerland. In particular, the parties discussed environmental security.
