“I had a thorough phone call with President of France Emmanuel Macron. Thank you for the opportunity to participate in the Summit of the European Political Community and for support at the UN Security Council. I spoke about the current situation in Kherson region, the environmental and humanitarian consequences of the Russian act of terrorism, and outlined the urgent needs of Ukraine to eliminate the disaster. We discussed the possibility of using international mechanisms to investigate its causes,” Zelensky noted.
He also told about the agreement with the IAEA and Rafael Grossi to increase control over the Zaporizhzhia NPP.
“We agreed to continue defense cooperation, in particular to protect our skies. We look forward to the earliest possible start of training for Ukrainian pilots. We discussed the formats of security guarantees for Ukraine, expectations from the NATO Summit in Vilnius and preparations for the Global Peace Summit,” the President added.
