Zelensky, Sunak discuss defense of Bakhmut, economic support

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has held a phone call with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.

According to Ukrinform, Zelensky said this in a post on Twitter.

"A good conversation with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. I informed him of the situation at the front, Bakhmut's defense. Exchanged views on recent international events. As always, we have concrete results in increasing defense & economic support for Ukraine," he said.

Zelensky added that Ukraine appreciates the UK's unwavering position.

Ukrinform reported earlier that the tenth meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group was held on March 15.

About 50 countries took part in the virtual meeting. The participants traditionally familiarized themselves with the latest developments on the battlefield and discussed further steps in the joint response.

U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin praised the outcome of the tenth meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group.
