Ukraine to withdraw from one more CIS agreement

The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a bill on Ukraine's withdrawal from the agreement on cooperation between the CIS member states in the field of consumer protection.

According to Ukrinform, the government's representative in the Verkhovna Rada, Servant of the People MP Vasyl Mokan, wrote this on his Telegram channel.

"The government continues its systematic work on Ukraine's withdrawal from CIS agreements. At today's meeting the Cabinet of Ministers supported the bill 'On withdrawal from the agreement on the main areas of cooperation between the participating states of the Commonwealth of Independent States in the field of consumer protection' and the draft of a respective order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine," he wrote.

Mokan added that the document proposes that Ukraine withdraw from the agreement on the main areas of cooperation between the CIS participating states in the field of consumer protection dated January 25, 2000, signed at a meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of Government and ratified by Law of Ukraine No. 3102-ІІІ of March 7, 2002.

In addition, he said that the country's withdrawal from the agreement will help protect the national economic interests, independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
