Cyprus at OSCE reaffirms support for Ukraine's sovereignty, territorial integrity

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulides said this in his speech during the 27th OSCE Ministerial Council, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"The OSCE continues to play a key role in the crisis in and around Ukraine. Cyprus reaffirms its support for Ukraine's sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity, as well as all efforts within the Normandy format and the Trilateral Contact Group," he said.

The two-day 27th OSCE Ministerial Council started on Thursday, December 3. It is being held via video conference for the first time in history due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

About 40 foreign ministers of the OSCE participating states are taking part in the main event of the Albanian presidency. Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba represents Ukraine at the event.

During the online meeting, the ministers will summarize the organization's activities in 2020 and review the security situation in the Euro-Atlantic and Eurasian regions.

Russian aggression against Ukraine is one of the main topics of the meeting.
