Ukrinform
Leader of the Servant of the People Party faction Davyd Arakhamia has confirmed that a special sitting of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is scheduled for January 24.

When asked whether a special sitting of the Verkhovna Rada will be held on January 24, the MP replied: "Yes, it will. It will be devoted to decentralization. We will need an additional vote prior to the next session..." an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

Arakhamia also explained that if the Constitutional Court did not submit its conclusion on draft law No. 2598 “On Amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine (On Decentralization)” before that time, there would be no need for the special sitting.

The politician added that personnel changes in the government would not be considered at the special sitting.

On December 13, President Volodymyr Zelensky registered the draft law No. 2598 “On Amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine (On Decentralization)” in the Verkhovna Rada.
