The Kalanchak and Chonhar checkpoints on Ukraine's administrative border with Russia-occupied Crimea opened on November 15 after repairs, Ukrzaliznytsia CEO Yevhen Kravtsov has said on his Facebook page.

"The newly built high-security Chonhar and Kalanchak entry and exit zones started to operate from 12:00 today. The checkpoints are temporary. They are already operating according to schedule. This is the first stage of construction. The next one will be the equipment of service zones," Kravtsov said.

Chairman of Kherson Regional State Administration Yuriy Husyev said on September 20 that the construction of new Chonhar and Kalanchak checkpoints had started in the Kherson region, on the administrative border with the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
