Court closes case against Kharkiv city mayor Kernes

Criminal proceedings against Kharkiv city mayor Hennadiy Kernes have been closed.

"The criminal proceedings against Hennadiy Kernes have been closed because of systematic failure of the prosecution to appear in court," Judge Andriy Antonov announced in the Kyivsky District Court of Poltava city.

Nineteen prosecutors, involved in the case against Hennadiy Kernes, did not appear at the last court hearings to support their indictment.
