Russian drone attack leaves one killed, four injured in Chernihiv

In Chernihiv, a 16-year-old boy was killed and four others were injured as a result of a Russian drone attack.

The head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, Viacheslav Chaus, stated this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"Russia carried out a massive drone attack on Chernihiv. At night, while people were sleeping. There were hits at various locations. Unfortunately, this attack took the life of a 16-year-old boy. Rescuers found his body while clearing the rubble," Chaus reported. It is currently known that four people were also injured.

According to the official, significant destruction has been recorded in the city. A lyceum, private houses, an industrial facility, and a medical institution were damaged — the latter was not operational and had already been destroyed by Russian forces in 2022.

Firefighters extinguished fires at the impact sites.

As Ukrinform reported, in Chernihiv, two private houses and an educational institution were damaged as a result of a UAV crash, with casualties reported.
