Defense Forces thwart enemy attempts to break through near Chasiv Yar for second consecutive day

The Ukrainian Defense Forces have repelled another large-scale attempt by Russian troops to break through in the area of Chasiv Yar in the Donetsk region.
The 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade stated this on Facebook and published a video of combat operations, according to Ukrinform.
"For the second day in a row, the enemy is carrying out mechanized assaults in the sector of the 24th Brigade. The attack was repelled. Enemy armored vehicles, cars, and assault troops were destroyed," the statement said.
As Ukrinform reported, on April 18, the invaders attempted a breakthrough in the sector of the 24th Brigade. They used five armored combat vehicles, a tank, 10 motorcycles, and quad bikes. Reconnaissance, drones, artillery, and infantry operated in coordination. The breakthrough was thwarted.
