Presidents of Ukraine, Malta discuss extension of EU sanctions against Russia

Poroshenko said this to journalists after a meeting with the president of Malta, who is currently on an official visit in Ukraine, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"It's pleased to note that Malta as a reliable bilateral partner and a member state of the European Union is getting closer to Ukraine… Together with the President of Malta we discussed the extension of EU sanctions against Russia, the European integration aspirations of Ukraine and the trade and economic cooperation. I thank Mrs. President for fruitful negotiations," Poroshenko said.
