Canadian opposition calls on Government to provide Ukraine with lethal weapons - Canadian MP

The Canadian opposition has called on the Government to provide Ukraine with lethal weapons for the defense against Russian aggression.
This has been stated by shadow Canadian Defense Minister James Bezan, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"We expect that the Government of Canada will provide lethal weapons to Ukraine. <...> The Ukrainian Government applied with such request, and the Ukrainian people expect this help," Bezan said.
He stressed that such step would not be cheap for Canada, but it was extremely necessary. "This must be done in order to preserve peace and security and to maintain the prosperity of Ukraine, and we have already showed the intention to achieve this, supporting the free trade agreement," the minister said.
