Ukrainian MPs have approved an appeal by the Verkhovna Rada to member states and institutions of the European Union for the completion of ratification of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU.

A total of 235 MPs voted in favor of the corresponding resolution, No. 5238, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

The Ukrainian parliament called on the government of the Netherlands together with the EU institutions "to make a balanced decision that would equally take into account the interests of people of the Netherlands, Ukraine and the European Union”.

The Ukrainian lawmakers also appealed to the parliament of the Kingdom of the Netherlands with a request to avoid adopting a decision that “will be of a discriminatory character towards Ukraine and will threaten the implementation of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union”.
