VR committee approves draft resolution on CEC members’ appointment

The Verkhovna Rada committee on preventing and combating corruption has supported a draft resolution on the appointment of members of the Central Election Commission (CEC) (No.4790).
The relevant decision was approved at a committee’s meeting on June 15, an Ukrinform’s correspondent reports.
“The draft resolution is in line with the legislation on combating corruption,” Yehor Sobolev, the committee’s chairman, said.
He also noted that the number of candidates from parliamentary forces in the CEC should be proportional.
