Poroshenko hopes to regain control over Donbas already this year

He said this in an interview with TRT World Turkish channel, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"At the first stage, I believe that I will regain control over the east of my country. I hope it is possible already this year," he said.

According to the President, settlement of the situation with the annexed Crimea requires much time.

"There is no alternative. Crimea will be Ukrainian," Poroshenko said, promising to make every effort for that.
