Parliament dismisses Sorkin, appoints Kubiv as NBU governor

KYIV, February 25 /Ukrinform/. The Verkhovna Rada has dismissed Ihor Sorkin as governor of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) in connection with his resignation.
A total of 352 MPs voted for a respective resolution on Monday.
At the same time, Batkivshchyna MP Stepan Kubiv was appointed a new NBU governor, with 312 MPs voting for this decision.
Kubiv was one of the main Euromaidan commandants.
