Kakhovka HPP explosion: 54 settlements in three regions remain flooded

Fifty-four settlements in Kherson, Dnipropetrovsk, and Mykolaiv regions remain flooded after the invaders blew up the Kakhovka HPP.

"Kherson region, Dnipropetrovsk region, and Mykolaiv region are the three main regions where our forces and means are deployed to eliminate this emergency situation.

As of now, in Kherson, Mykolaiv, and Dnipropetrovsk regions, which have been most affected by the Kakhovka HPP explosion committed by the occupiers, 54 settlements remain flooded. Seventeen of them are in the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region," Oleksandr Khorunzhyi, press officer of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, told a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine–Ukrinform.

The spokesman noted that more than 1,900 houses (of which 1,422 are in Kherson city), 201 households, and 216 household plots have been flooded in the territory of these three regions.

"A total of 3,772 people and 268 animals have been evacuated by the State Emergency Service. We have psychologists working at the evacuation points, and they also did a great job – they have provided psychological help to 413 people," said the press officer of the State Emergency Service.

As reported, the Russian army blew up the Kakhovka HPP dam on the night of June 6.
