Earthquake struck Poltava region

An earthquake measuring 3.2 on the Richter scale was recorded in the Poltava district on March 28.

This was reported on Facebook by the Main Center for Special Control, according to Ukrinform.

“On March 28, 2026, at 19:50:07, the Main Center for Special Control recorded an earthquake in the Poltava district of Poltava region, Machukhivka Territorial Community, with a magnitude of 3.2 (on the Richter scale), at a depth of 8 km,” the statement reads.

The Special Control Center noted that, according to the classification, this earthquake is considered barely perceptible.

No reports of casualties or damage have been received as of now.

As reported by Ukrinform, on February 10, an earthquake was recorded in the city of Mukachevo in Zakarpattia for the second time this winter.
