Over 131,000 law enforcers to ensure public order during elections

Over 131,000 law enforcers will provide public order during the early parliamentary elections in Ukraine on July 21.

Deputy Head of the National Police Oleksandr Fatsevych stated this during a video conference chaired by First Deputy Interior Minister Serhiy Yarovyi, according to the National Police Communications Department.  

"During the holding of snap elections of people's deputies of Ukraine, more than 131,000 law enforcement officers will be involved in ensuring public order and security, including 74,000 police officers. A total of 47,000 policemen will protect polling stations, over 10,000 will patrol the territories of populated areas,” said Fatsevych.

He also noted that crime scene investigation teams, police bomb squads and all needed reserves will be also involved in maintaining public order during the early parliamentary elections in Ukraine.
