Since the Grain Corridor deal was enforced, 23 bulkers carrying a total of 640,000 tonnes of Ukrainian grain have departed from Ukrainian ports to Africa.

That’s according to Taras Vysotskyi, First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food, who spoke at a press conference at the Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform in Kyiv on Monday.

"Attention is drawn, first and foremost, to how much goods goes to Africa, because there are many devastating reports of famine are coming from there as millions of people are suffering. As of today, throughout the period of the ‘grain initiative,’ 23 vessels carrying 640,000 tonnes of food have been sent there," the deputy minister said.
