Eighth convoy of bulkers carrying Ukrainian agricultural products departs from Odesa ports

On August 17, four more ships loaded with agricultural products left the ports of Great Odesa. 

This was announced on Twitter by the Ministry of Defense of Turkey, Ukrinform reports.

"Grain shipments from Ukrainian ports continue as planned. As of the morning of August 17, four more vessels carrying sunflower meal, sunflower oil, and corn departed from the Ukrainian ports of Odesa and Chornomorsk," the message reads.

As reported, the seventh convoy of five bulk carriers carrying Ukrainian corn and wheat left on August 16 from two ports of Odesa region. The joint coordination center inspected four ships that were heading for Ukrainian ports.

In Istanbul on July 22, Ukraine, Turkey, and UN Secretary General António Guterres signed the Initiative on the safe transportation of grain and food products from the ports of Odesa, Chornomorsk, and Pivdennyi.
