Inflation slows down in Ukraine - State Statistics Service

The growth of consumer prices in Ukraine in 2018 slowed down to 9.8%, according to the State Statistics Service.

Inflation in December 2018 was 0.8% against 1.4% in November, 1.7% in October, and 1.9% in September.

The State Statistics Service reports that the average annual inflation in 2018 (January-December 2018 against January-December 2017) decreased to 10.9% from 14.4% a year earlier.

In December 2018, core inflation fell to 0.6% from 1.1% in November, 1.3% in October, 1.9% in September, and by the year end it reached 8.7%.

In 2017, prices in Ukraine grew by 13.7%.
