Invaders violate ceasefire in eastern Ukraine 20 times

Over the past day, April 23, the armed formations of the Russian Federation violated the ceasefire in the Joint Forces Operation area in eastern Ukraine 20 times, including 19 attacks and one remote mining.

"In particular, the occupiers fired 82mm and 120mm mortars near Novoselivka (37km north-east of Donetsk), Novhorodske (35km north of Donetsk), and Shumy (41km north of Donetsk); grenade launchers of various systems and small arms – outside Vodiane (94km south of Donetsk); grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns, and small arms – in the suburbs of Avdiivka (17km north of Donetsk),  Pisky (11km north-west of Donetsk), and Marinka (23km south-west of Donetsk)," the press center of the JFO Headquarters reports.

The enemy also opened fire from 120mm mortars and antitank missile system near Pivdenne (40km north-east of Donetsk); grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns, and small arms – outside Lebedynske (16km east of Mariupol), Krasnohorivka (21km west of Donetsk), Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk), and Svitlodarsk (57km north-east of Donetsk).

The armed forces of the Russian Federation used hand-held antitank grenade launchers to deliver POM-2 mines towards the village of Novhorodske (35km north of Donetsk).

No combat losses among Ukrainian troops were reported over the past day.

The Ukrainian side of the Joint Control and Coordination Center (JCCC) informed the OSCE SMM about the violations committed by the armed formations of the Russian Federation.

As of 07:00 on April 24, one ceasefire violation was recorded. In particular, the Russian occupation forces opened fire from easel antitank grenade launchers in the area of Troitske (69km west of Luhansk).

Ukrainian military continue to control the situation in the JFO area and adhere to the ceasefire.
