Ukraine’s General Staff prepares several plans for counteracting special forces of Russian Federation

At the conference on the development of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ukrainian defence officials and their colleagues from nine countries discussed the counteraction to the special forces of the Russian Federation.

"The General Staff analyzed the actions of the special forces of the Russian Federation, and we already prepared the plans for counteracting various scenarios of crisis situations. Our task is not to slow down the pace of introduction of new standards in training, technical equipment and comprehensive provision of domestic Special Operations Forces," Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Viktor Muzhenko said, the press service of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine reports.

As noted, the development of the maritime component of the Special Operations Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the comprehensive plan for the development of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the security situation in the region were discussed during the meeting.

The event was organized with the assistance of the NATO Special Operations Headquarters and with the participation of its official delegation led by NATO Special Operations Headquarters Commander, Vice Admiral Colin J. Kilrain. The experts from the United States, the United Kingdom, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Romania, Denmark, and Canada took part in the conference.
