Pokrovsk, Huliaipole sectors hottest as 259 combat engagements recorded on front line over past day
According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook in its operational update as of 08:00 on June 18.
Russian forces launched 76 airstrikes, dropping 243 guided aerial bombs. In addition, the enemy deployed 9,921 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,958 attacks, including 59 using multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).
Ukraine's Air Force, missile forces, and artillery struck 17 clusters of Russian personnel, as well as four artillery systems and two UAV command posts.
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, the enemy carried out 76 attacks, including three involving MLRS.
In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Russian troops launched 10 attacks near Lyman, Vovchansk, and toward Pokaliane, Izbytske, Okhrimivka, and Odradne.
In the Kupiansk sector, Ukraine's Defense Forces repelled five enemy attempts to advance toward Novoplatonivka and Kurylivka.
In the Lyman sector, Russian troops made 22 attempts to break through Ukrainian defenses near Derylove, Zarichne, Novomykhailivka, Novoselivka, as well as toward Drobysheve, Ozerne, Shyikivka, Lyman, and Dibrova.
In the Sloviansk sector, Russian forces launched 11 assaults toward Rai-Oleksandrivka, Kryva Luka, and near Zakitne.
In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian troops did not conduct offensive operations.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, the invaders carried out 19 attacks near Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Ivanopillia, Rusyn Yar, Stepanivka, and toward Novopavlivka.
In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 34 assault operations by Russian forces near Novooleksandrivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Rodynske, and Sofiivka, as well as toward Bilytske, Dorozhnie, Novyi Donbas, Shevchenko, Serhiivka, Muravka, Vilne, and Novopavlivka.
In the Oleksandrivka sector, the enemy attacked twice toward Oleksandrohrad and Verbove.
In the Huliaipole sector, Russian troops launched 30 attacks near Dobropillia, Pryluky, Zlahoda, and toward Huliaipilske, Hirke, Vozdvyzhivka, Tsvitkove, and Charivne.
In the Orikhiv sector, Ukraine's Defense Forces stopped four Russian attempts to advance near Mala Tokmachka and toward Lukianivske.
In the Dnipro River sector, Russian troops did not conduct offensive operations.
No signs of the formation of Russian offensive groupings were detected in the Volyn and Polissia sectors.
As reported by Ukrinform, Russia's total combat losses since the start of its full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, through June 18, 2026, have reached approximately 1,388,050 personnel.
