Militants launched 24 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Russian-backed militants launched 24 attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in ATO area in Donbas in last day. 

This is reported by the ATO press center.

The tensest situation was observed in Donetsk direction, where militants used heavy machine guns and grenade launchers to shell Ukrainian troops near Mayorske (45km north of Donetsk), Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk) and Opytne (11.5km north-west of Donetsk). The same weapons were used to fire at Butovka coal mine (11.4km north-west of Donetsk). The enemy also opened fire from weapons on infantry fighting vehicles outside Zaitseve (67km north-north-east of Donetsk).

In Luhansk direction, illegal armed formations fired 82mm mortars at the defenders of Lobacheve (17km north-west of Luhansk). Ukrainian strongholds came under anti-tank grenade launcher and small arms fire near Valuiske (20km north-east of Luhansk), Stanytsia Luhanska (16km north-east of Luhansk), Krymske (42.5km north-west of Luhansk).

In Mariupol direction, Russian-backed militants launched attacks on Ukrainian positions near Berezove (35km south-west of Donetsk), using grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and weapons on infantry fighting vehicles. ATO troops stationed outside Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol), Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol) and Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk) came under grenade launcher and heavy machine gun fire.
