Ukrainian pilot and MP Nadiya Savchenko visited the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) zone in Donbas, eastern Ukraine, overnight into June 6, the ATO press service reports.
“The night-time arrival of Ukraine’s Hero Nadiya Savchenko to the ATO zone was a real surprise for everyone,” reads the report.
Savchenko met Ukrainian servicemen during her visit.
“The Ukrainian MP managed to fruitfully communicate with many servicemen, met with fellow-soldiers with whom she served and sit at the helm of a combat helicopter,” reads the report.
