Air defense neutralizes 75 out of 84 Russian drones since morning

Ukraine's air defense forces neutralized 75 out of 84 drones launched by Russian invaders during daytime attacks on May 20.

According to Ukrinform, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Telegram.

From 08:30 to 17:00 on Wednesday, May 20, the enemy attacked Ukraine with 84 strike UAVs, including jet-powered Shahed drones, "Gerbera," "Italmas," and decoy drones of the "Parodiya" type.

The air assault was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine's Defense Forces.

According to preliminary data as of 17:00 on Wednesday, May 20, air defense forces shot down or suppressed 75 drones in eastern, northern, and southern Ukraine.

Hits by six strike UAVs were recorded.

The attack is ongoing, with several enemy drones still in Ukrainian airspace.

As Ukrinform previously reported, Ukraine's air defense forces neutralized 131 out of 154 strike drones launched by Russian invaders starting from the evening of May 19.
