The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that Russian strategic aviation has become more active and that aircraft are being redeployed to distant airfields, which may indicate that Russia is preparing new strikes against Ukraine. At the same time, the exact timing of a possible attack remains unknown.

This was reported by Yurii Ihnat, head of the communications department of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, during a television broadcast, according to a correspondent from Ukrinform.

"There have been many reports, and they are not appearing without reason. We have the relevant intelligence, data from partners, and our own reconnaissance capabilities, so the redeployment of tactical aviation and its activity at airbases is being recorded," Ihnat said.

According to him, Russian forces periodically move aircraft to more distant airfields to protect them from potential strikes. In recent days, increased activity has also been observed at Russian strategic aviation bases, where aircraft are typically prepared before carrying out attacks.

"Therefore, it cannot be ruled out that this could happen at any time in the near future. At the same time, we cannot say exactly when the enemy will strike. If we knew it would happen today, officials would announce it. But we must always remain prepared," the Air Force spokesperson stressed.

Ihnat added that Ukrainian forces are closely monitoring enemy activity and urged citizens not to ignore air raid alerts.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Pavlo Palisa discussed with representatives of defense corporation RTX ways to accelerate the delivery of missiles for the Patriot system and the repair of damaged systems.
