20-year-old woman killed and her 6-year-old sister wounded in enemy artillery fire in Sumy region

In the Znob-Novhorod community of the Shostka district in the Sumy region, a 20-year-old woman was killed, and a 6-year-old child was wounded as a result of Russian artillery fire on March 28.

According to Ukrinform, the Prosecutor General's Office reported this on Telegram.

“On March 28, around 12:00 p.m., the enemy, according to preliminary data, fired artillery at a house of civilians in the Znob-Novhorod community of the Shostka district,” the statement reads.

A 20-year-old woman was killed. Her 6-year-old sister sustained severe injuries.

Prosecutors, in coordination with other law enforcement agencies, are documenting the consequences of the attack.

Under the procedural guidance of the Shostka District Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation is underway into the commission of a war crime resulting in the death of a person (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

As reported by Ukrinform, on March 27, Russian troops carried out 44 strikes on the territory of the Sumy region. Two people were injured.
