Muzychuk: Russians deploy up to 200 “Molniia” drones daily in Pokrovsk direction
Ruslan Muzychuk, a spokesperson for the National Guard of Ukraine, reported this in an interview with Ukrinform.
“The emergence of new models [of drones] and the widespread use of cheap ones, such as the ‘Molniia,’ make the front line quite dangerous. For example, in the Pokrovsk direction, there are instances where the enemy deploys about 200 ‘Molniia’ drones per day,” the spokesperson said.
According to Muzychuk, most of these drones can be shot down by interceptor drones or neutralized by electronic warfare (EW) systems; however, if 20–50 “Molniia” drones reach their targets, this poses a serious threat alongside guided aerial bombs and artillery.
“The enemy continues to develop this component, including more technologically advanced models, so we are working to understand the state of its forces and resources,” he explained.
At the same time, the spokesperson emphasized that Russia is allocating significant funding to develop its military-industrial complex, particularly for drones. In particular, the enemy copies much from our experience, scales it up, and applies it, making it dangerous not only for Ukraine but also for other European countries.
“Currently, only Ukraine has experience conducting combat operations using a large number of drones directly on the battlefield; other countries are studying this experience and may integrate it into their own training,” Muzychuk emphasized.
As reported by Ukrinform, on the afternoon of March 24, Russia attacked Ukraine with more than 550 strike UAVs, and in total, over the course of the day, the enemy deployed nearly a thousand Shahed, “Gerbera,” and other types of strike drones.
