Children to be forcibly evacuated from certain districts of Sloviansk
He announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"I signed an order to conduct the forced evacuation of children from certain districts of Sloviansk that are most vulnerable to enemy shelling… The order has been submitted for approval to the Coordination Headquarters for Evacuation Measures and Effective Response to Mass Population Movement, established by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine," the regional head wrote.
He listed more than 40 streets and lanes in Sloviansk where the forced evacuation of children will now take place.
"Saving lives is the most important thing. Especially the lives and health of children, who are not able to make decisions on their own and evacuate," Filashkin emphasized.
As reported, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as of 08:00 on Friday, March 20, over the past day in the Sloviansk direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped 12 attempts by the occupiers to advance toward Dibrova, Zakytne, Riznykivka, Rai-Oleksandrivka, and Platonivka.
