Russian drone attack in Zaporizhzhia region damages house, evacuation vehicle, injures two

Two people were injured as a result of a Russian drone attack in the Zaporizhzhia region, with one UAV striking a residential house and another hitting an evacuation vehicle.

The National Police branch in the Zaporizhzhia region announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"In Balabyne, an enemy Molniya-type UAV struck a private household. As a result of the attack, a married couple was injured – a 46-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman," the statement said.

In Orikhiv, an FPV drone hit an evacuation vehicle. No people were injured in that incident.

Yesterday, law enforcement officers evacuated a woman from Komyshuvakha and a man from Tavriiske.

On May 8, Russian forces carried out 123 artillery strikes and deployed 615 attack drones against settlements in the Zaporizhzhia, Vasylivka, and Polohy districts. The consequences of the shelling were documented by police officers and the regional office of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU). Criminal proceedings have been opened over war crimes.
