A unit of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR) carried out a successful clearance of a settlement in the Zaporizhzhia sector.

The military intelligence agency announced this on its Facebook page, Ukrinform reports.

Enemy infantry had entrenched themselves in residential buildings, but skilled methodical actions by the Chimera unit, part of HUR's Timur special forces unit, forced Russian troops out of their positions.

Special forces conducted thorough room-to-room clearing, eliminated enemy infantry in close combat, and captured those who survived.

"The prisoners have been added to the exchange pool and will later be swapped for Ukrainian defenders," HUR said.
