Ukraine steps up cooperation with Latin America – Zelensky

President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha held a series of meetings in Latin America and is preparing to intensify the work of Ukrainian diplomatic missions in the region.

Zelensky stated this on Telegram, according to UKrinform.

"The Minister held meetings with the President and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Chile, as well as with representatives of more than ten other countries in the region. It is important that we are preparing to step up the work of our missions in Latin America and to cooperate with the region on international platforms," Zelensky said.

He added that Sybiha also reported on communication with key European partners regarding security and political issues important for Ukraine.

"Everyone agrees that Ukraine can be a real partner in ensuring security," Zelensky emphasized.

He also said that preparations for upcoming diplomatic events in Ukraine in the coming weeks were discussed.

"We are working to ensure that global attention to our state and our defense does not decrease," he concluded.

As previously reported, Sybiha opened Ukraine's embassy in Panama.
