Partisans reconnoiter Russian FSB SIGINT post near Simferopol

Ukrinform
In temporarily occupied Crimea, agents of the ATESH partisan movement have reconnoitered a signals intelligence post of Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) near Simferopol.

ATESH reported this on Telegram, as cited by Ukrinform.

“Our agents conducted detailed reconnaissance of a specialized FSB radio direction-finding facility located on the outskirts of Simferopol. This complex is a key tool used by the invaders to monitor the radio spectrum and intercept data,” the statement said.

The partisans passed on the coordinates of the facility: 44.9703, 34.01724.

It is noted that this direction-finding system is used by Russian security services to track and attempt to detain members of the Ukrainian underground in Crimea. The placement of the facility “in an open field” is intended to ensure maximum coverage and accuracy in signal triangulation, which the underground may use to establish communications.

“We recorded not only the technical parameters of the complex, but also shift schedules and the routes used by FSB personnel traveling to this site. Your equipment will not help you hide – we are already inside your security system,” ATESH added.
