Zelensky meets Danish PM in Cyprus to discuss joint drone production

Zelensky thanked Frederiksen for her consistent strong support for Ukraine and all the defense aid packages.

As the head of state noted, “It is also important to unblock the decision on the financial support package for Ukraine and the 20th package of sanctions against Russia. Thank you for this support.”

“First and foremost, we discussed deepening joint defense production, specifically in the priority area of drones,” the President said.

The head of state noted that “we also discussed Ukraine’s cooperation with the European Union. We are determined to move as quickly as possible toward full membership in the European Union and expect all negotiation clusters to open in the near future.”

As reported by Ukrinform, European Council President António Costa stated that following the release of a €90 billion loan to support Ukraine and the approval of the 20th package of sanctions against Russia, the next step that must be taken is the opening of the first cluster (Fundamentals) of negotiations on Ukraine’s accession to the EU.
