Contributions to PURL sufficient to continue US weapons deliveries to Ukraine — Ministry of Defense
The press service of Ukraine's Ministry of Defense stated this in a comment to Ukrinform.
"The volume of contributions to the PURL program is sufficient to continue supplying Ukraine with critical U.S.-made weapons, and assistance continues to be delivered. At the same time, we do not disclose information regarding the quantity of aid, the list of participating countries, the types of weapons involved, or the terms of the contracts. During martial law, this information is classified as official-use information and is not publicly discussed," the ministry's press service stated.
PURL is a mechanism under which NATO member states and partner countries contribute funds for the procurement of U.S.-manufactured equipment through NATO and its subsequent transfer to Ukraine.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, at the end of May, Japan allocated $14.658 million (approximately JPY 2.2 billion) to support NATO's Priority Ukraine Requirements List (PURL) initiative.
