Russian Kalibr missile destroyed in sky over Khmelnytskyi region in morning
According to Ukrinform, the Podillia Joint Training and Education Center posted a video of the strike and photos of the missile's remains on Facebook.
"The photo shows fighters from the mobile fire group. During this morning's missile attack, they destroyed a Kalibr cruise missile that was flying towards one of the settlements in western Ukraine. The MANPADS gunner had only seconds to react and engage the target. An accurate launch, and the Kalibr was destroyed in midair," the post says.
As noted by the Podillia Regional Military Administration, the group consists of four enlisted soldiers. One of them has already shot down a Shahed-type drone that was flying towards one of the cities in eastern Ukraine.
As noted in Telegram by Serhiy Tyurin, head of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Military Administration, “thanks to our 143rd Joint Training Center ”Podillia," a cruise missile was destroyed in the region today. This probably saved someone's life or prevented destruction during the shelling by Russian bastards."
As reported by Ukrinform, on November 19, at around 7 a.m., the Russians attacked Ternopil and the region with strike drones and missiles. According to the latest data, 25 people were killed and 92 wounded.
