Crimea attacked by drones, oil depots on fire in Hvardiiske and Simferopol
According to Ukrinform, the Crimean Wind Telegram channel reported the news.
“At 06:26, there was a powerful strike on the village of Hvardiiske. And again, the ATAN oil depot is on fire. Earlier, this oil depot was already attacked on October 17 and burned for several days,” the message says.
It is noted that the so-called Russian head of Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov, reported that “as a result of a UAV attack on the territory of Simferopol, a container with fuel and lubricants was hit. This resulted in a fire. There were no casualties. Emergency services are working at the scene.”
A video posted on the Telegram channel showed thick black smoke rising and spreading from two fires. One fire was closer and to the left in Simferopol, and the other was further away and to the right in Hvardiiske.
It is noted that military fuel trucks in camouflage nets and with drone protection were actively driving in and out of the oil depot in Simferopol, which was hit yesterday. This oil depot, like the oil depot in Hvardiiske, is actively used to supply the Russian army.
The Telegram channel, citing its subscribers, also reported a possible strike near the village of Krylivka, close to the village of Myrnyi, where military equipment warehouses are located at a former airfield and Russian air defense systems are nearby.
Ukrinform reported that on the night of October 17, Crimea was attacked by drones, and an oil depot caught fire in Hvardiiske. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed new strikes on the oil depot and military targets in temporarily occupied Crimea.
