Ukrainian forces strike Ryazan oil refinery, ammunition depot in Belgorod region

Ukrinform
On the night of October 22-23, Ukrainian forces struck the Ryazan Oil Refinery and an ammunition depot located near Valuyki in Russia's Belgorod region.

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said this in a Facebook post seen by Ukrinform.

Explosions were heard in the area of the refinery, followed by a large fire at the facility.

According to the General Staff, the Ryazan Oil Refinery is involved in supplying the Russian armed forces. Its facilities are capable of processing over 17 million tonnes of crude oil per year. Disabling part of the refinery's production capacity limits the Russian army's ability to sustain combat operations.
