Russians use chemical weapons against Ukrainian soldiers, dropping gas grenade on dugout
According to Ukrinform, the 225th Separate Assault Regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Telegram and released corresponding video footage.
"A group of fighters from the 225th Separate Assault Regiment counterattacked and recaptured positions previously occupied by the enemy. After that, our soldiers were targeted with an FPV drone and a dropped device containing an unknown poisonous substance. The fighters managed to leave the dugout in time and move to another position," the military stated.
The 225th Separate Assault Regiment reported that the incident was documented, and all available evidence was transferred to the competent authorities for inclusion among other Russian war crimes.
As Ukrinform previously reported, according to Lieutenant Colonel Maksym Kravchuk, head of the communications department of the Command of the Support Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, nearly 400 cases of Russians using special munitions equipped with irritant chemical agents were recorded in March 2026.
